Overview
The magnificent San Angel Inn, located in a colonial area in the southern part of Mexico City, is an old Carmelite monastery that has been converted into an extraordinary restaurant which is famous for its international and mexican cuisine. The elegance of the exquisitely decorated interiors and spacious gardens adorned with blossoms, original stone fountains and ancient trees create an ambience of colonial charm and distiction combined with modern luxury. In 1962 under the management of the Debler Family the Inn was restored to its original splendor. This restaurant is a favorite of mexican society and international visitors. Neil Armstrong, Robert F. Kennedy, Octavio Paz and Prince Philip of England have been among the distinguished guests. |
