Historic Significance

The Hotel partially occupies a 16^th century house built by Don Santiago Dominguez de la Vega, a local merchant and landholder of the times. The structure retains the colonial aspects of the New Spain reflected in the thick adobe walls of the façade, the gardens and the 16th century fountain adorns the central patio where guests can find an antique wooden cart which had been buried and was dicovered during  the restoration process. All the rooms have also a unique decorative colonial Mexican style with furnishings retaining the style of the Viceroy era.
