The city of Uruapan, Michoacan, is known as the "Avocado Capital of the world". It is of easy access by the Morelia-Patzcuaro-Uruapan toll highway or also by the federal route 14 passing Tingambato. Uruapan is the entrance to the Purepechan Mesa, a large region of ancient towns such as Paracho where guitars are produced the archeological zone of Tingambato, and the Chapels of Don Vasco, located in 5 different towns.
