Overview
The Spirit of an Era¨is perceived in each corner of Hacienda San Antonio El Puente, located 15 minutes from Cuernavaca, Morelos. The structure, which dates from the 18th century, was once one of the most important sugar plantations of the region. The Hacienda is so named because of the famous 17th century colonial bridge used by distinguished figures such as Mde. Calderon de la Barca and Alexander Von Humboldt to cross the Apatlaco River on their excursions to the Cacahuamilpa Caverns.
The old quarter or ¨casco¨of the hacienda is one of the most beautiful in the center of the country and one which has integrated a large portion of the original structure into the design. Carefully restored, the hotel has an impressive aqueduct and chimney attached to an arcade, symbol of the splendor and beauty of the property. The comfortably ample rooms are beautifully decorated with carved Spanish colonial style furnishings and offer a view of the river, exquisite gardens and original structure of the Hacienda.
