Historic Significance

Hacienda Los Laureles was once a private residence built in the early 1900´s in an area of the city of Oaxaca called San Felipe del Agua, which received its name for the colonial acueduct which transported the vital liquid to the city.

The residence was restored conserving the graceful characteristics of the era with 10 foot ceilings, thick walls, long columned corridors and arched windows. During the restoration proccess, special care was taken to preserve the 200 year old laurel trees, a distinguishing feature of the hotel.

Hotel Hacienda Los Laureles opened its doors to the public in 2000.
