Historic Significance
Aguascalientes, known in cultural circles nationwide as the Athens of Mexico, is characterized by its stately stone buildings and elegant balconies. In 1888, in a small area of town called "Barrio de la Salud", the Hacienda la Noria was born, built by the Parson of the "Templo del Señor del Encino", who was dedicated to viniculture beginning a tradition that today has given fame to the state. In 1988 a project emerged to restore the Hacienda, preserving its origins, and transforming it into the beautiful hotel and restaurant of Aguascalientes. Today, it is considered a historical legacy filled with tradition and culture. |
