Dining
The hotel restaurant, El Refectorio, is divided into four distinct dining rooms each with a unique ambiance depending upon its location. La Antigua Cocina is a delightful spot. The abundant breakfast buffet served in pottery bowls on brazieres atop wood-burning stoves sends the enticing aromas of Oaxacan specialties like tasajo, tamales with mole or quesadillas with Oaxacan cheese to tease the appetite. Los Cantaros is a more formal dining room with one wall entirely encrusted with ancient jugs of varying sizes and shapes. A fabulous collection of treasured oils adorns the remaining walls. Las Bugambilias, illuminated entirely by candlelight, is a must for those idyllic romantic occasions. On Saturday's the rhythm of the mariachis enhances the evening. Arcada Los Naranjos, is located near the dining room and has a view of the garden and central fountain. The restaurants are open daily from 7am to 11pm. Bar las Novicias is beside the pool for enjoying a refreshing cocktail or drink. |
